Description:

Our growing private sector client is looking for a Software Manager who has the ability to effectively lead and manage a team that provides recommendations and delivers reliable solutionss.  This requires someone with start-up experience and in developing large telecom solutions that are based on field issues.   You will be an integral part of the development team and will have numerous technical challenges to overcome.

Responsibilities:

• Provides management and technical direction to software engineers/leads.
• Responsible for the management of resources and processes of the department.
• Responsible for lifecycle management of Software features.
• Communication to senior management on release status, risk areas and issues.

Background:

• Strong technical and people leadership skills
• Enjoys working with external customers
• 12 or more years of software experience including at least 3 years in management role.
• Start-up experience.
• Experience in leading software design and development teams for large Telecom systems.
• Advanced knowledge of object oriented programming languages.
• Advanced knowledge of Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet the deadlines.
• University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred.
