Description:

Our well established growing private sector client is looking for an Oracle DBA who thrives on solving complex issues.  You will be working at the Tier 2 support level helping with database maintenance, feature development, upgrades and customer issues.  This requires someone that enjoys working in a team environment and learning new technologies in mission critical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Working on a global team of six DBA’s to support the organization in customer database issues which includes pager duty once every 2 months
• Able to articulate solutions to the internal team and customers
• Provide technical database guidance to the company which includes making recommendations on technology and processes
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and interpersonal skills

Background:

• 5 years of Oracle DBA experience
• Solid experience in:
  • Mission Critical solutions
  • UNIX
  • Database performance and tuning
• Deep desire to solve technical problems and exceed expectations
• University Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business is preferred or comparable education and work experience
